Kerry Brady, Founder, Director and Guide

Kerry Brady, MA, SEP (she/her) is a guide, mentor, facilitator, somatic practitioner and lover of birds and all things wild who works at the interface of personal, intergenerational and collective healing towards embodying our deepest belonging—to ourselves, each other, the Earth and the deeper Mystery. She is the founder and director of Ecology of Awakening and has more than 30 years of experience in transformational modalities—including transpersonal psychology, nature based and rites of passage work, Somatic Experiencing, deep ecology, ritual, dreamwork and non-dual wisdom traditions.

Kerry received her master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), where she also served as adjunct faculty and co-taught with evolutionary philosopher Brian Swimme for 20 consecutive years. She received her Somatic Experiencing practitioner certification through Somatic Experiencing International where she assists ongoing trainings. Kerry created Living Resiliency workshops at Occidental Arts and Ecology Center and elsewhere that weave together biologically based trauma work with permaculture principles and practices in order to increase our adaptive capacity as we navigate this extraordinary time of cultural and ecological transformation. She trained in rites of passage work with the School of Lost Borders and Animas Valley Institute, where she previously served as a guide.

Kerry’s lineage is Northern European—primarily Irish, British, French and German. She lives in unceded/occupied Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo territory, in West Sonoma County, California, with her husband Brock.
